About Jeremy Hosein, MD
Dr. Jeremy Hosein is a board-certified neurosurgeon and health policy leader with a distinguished career bridging medicine, public service, and education. A proud product of Nebraska schools and graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Jeremy has dedicated his life to serving others — from the operating room to the halls of government.
Jeremy was elected by his peers as a Student Regent, where he helped oversee a $2.3 billion budget, held the line on tuition, expanded student opportunities, and participated in the selection of a new Chancellor. He later served as Policy Advisor to Governors Mike Johanns and Dave Heineman, shaping legislation on health care, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. His commitment to service earned him an appointment as a White House Fellow, where he advised the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and worked on national policy ranging from drug pricing to international public health security.
Today, Jeremy practices neurosurgery in Lincoln and serves as Division Chair of Neurosurgery at Bryan Medical Center. He and his wife, Dr. Dawn Hosein, are raising their three children with the Nebraska values that shaped their lives.
